FEMA’s Environmental Planning & Historic Preservation Team currently has openings for qualified natural resource professionals for temporary full-time employment work in support of Hurricane Sandy Disaster Recovery Operations in the State of New Jersey. The Joint Field Office is located in Lincroft, NJ. Job qualifications include bachelor’s degree, or preferably higher education, in natural resource management, environmental science, biology, landscape architecture, planning or related field. Prior career work experience is preferred. Training is available. The job duties involve reviewing pubic infrastructure repair/replacement grant projects and documenting federal agency compliance in accordance with environmental laws, regulations and executive orders. The work is primarily in-office on computer using maps and database. The work is fast-paced. Flexibility and team spirit is a must. Candidates must have strong computer and communication skills. To be eligible to apply, you must be a NJ resident with valid NJ driver’s license. Hiring at entry, mid and senior Environmental Specialist levels. The salary is hourly with benefits limited to 4 hours sick leave/payperiod.
