GIS Spatial Analyst, Nature Conservancy – Seattle

The Spatial Analyst conducts quantitative spatial analysis, develops and manages conservation databases, and provides technical support for the conservation priorities of The Nature Conservancy’s Washington chapter. Primary responsibilities include:
- Conducting spatial & quantitative analysisusing ESRI GIS software and extensions, quantitative statistics, computational modeling, and diverse data to deliver rapid, cutting edge analysis and mapping that supports quick and innovative scientific responses to terrestrial, freshwater, and marine conservation questions and needs from colleagues and partners across the state.
- Promoting data and tool sharing through partnershipswith academics, government agencies, and other organizations so that Conservancy data and planning tools are accessed and applied by others, and TNC’s Conservation and Science staff makes best use of available data and tools.
- Delivering technical servicessuch as providing timely and satisfactory responses to data and map requests from conservation programs, managing ArcSDE accounts and workflows, maintaining GIS data library and JungleDisk resources.
