I am in need of one to two volunteers per day for the next few weeks to do carcass surveys on the Union and Tahuya Rivers in the Hood Canal Basin.  Surveys usually take the majority of the day.  We can provide waders and necessary equipment.  You just need a lunch,  warm clothes and a rain coat.  The rivers are loaded with spawning coho right now, so if you want to see ”the dance” it is a good time to be in the rivers.  Call me @ (360) 790-2163 or email me:  dave@pnwsalmoncenter.org.  Carpooling is an option from Shelton, but I leave at 7:15 am and return about 4:30.  This is great experience for those looking for a career in fisheries.
