Camp Dates: June 9th – August 29th, 2014

The Audubon Society of Portland is seeking talented Environmental Educators to lead our summer camp trips, classes and camps. Applicants must have experience in Environmental Education with knowledge of Pacific Northwest natural history. Qualified individuals should have a passion for working with children and for cultivating each child’s personal connection to the natural world. Our summer educators are responsible for collaborative facilitation of camps as well as being flexible and willing to teach in informal outdoor settings. Each Environmental Educator will work with a team of summer camp staff to run the activities of camp in a safe, fun and engaging way.

We are hiring for several positions to lead a combination of half-day, full-day, overnight and community-based satellite camps. The satellite camps include Lake Oswego, Explorador and the Audubon Nature Team (ANT).

This position has a pay range of $12-$14 per hour for up to 40 hours per week with compensation for overnight camps. There is a required two week paid camp training from June 9th-20th. Environmental Educators will be paid for planning time to design and develop curriculum for the camps that they lead.
