Columbia Land Trust is seeking a Stewardship Coordinator to support land management and administration of conserved lands.  The Land Trust stewardship program is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the conservation values of conserved properties throughout the 200 mile service region.  The program currently has 7 staff members with an active volunteer program working on over 14,000 acres of land.  The Stewardship Coordinator is responsible for maintaining property specific documentation and records, integrating newly acquired properties into the stewardship program, completion of annual monitoring and documentation, assisting stewardship staff in the implementation of site-specific land management and monitoring work plans, and supporting the resolution of property related issues such as easement violations and property encroachments.  Typical land management activities may include: weed control, planting and plant maintenance, infrastructure maintenance (fences, gates, other structures, etc.), construction related to wetland and riparian restoration, forestry, and management of public use.  The Stewardship Coordinator will report to the Stewardship Director but specific work plan activities will be guided by program staff working throughout the region.  The position may be based in either the Land Trust’s Vancouver, Washington office or the Land Trust’s Astoria, Oregon office.  Either location will require frequent travel throughout the region to complete site work.
