Job Summary:
The positions are located in the Northern Region (Region 1), on the Idaho Panhandle National Forests. One position will be located on the Priest Lake Ranger District in Nordman, ID and one will be located on the Coeur d’Alene River Ranger District in Coeur d’Alene, ID. Both positions will work across their respective zones, and may work across the entire forest, on an as needed basis.
The incumbent serves as the Recreation Program Manager responsible for administering a complex urban and rural forest district recreation, trails, wilderness, partnership, interpretive program, and off-highway vehicle (OHV) management; providing professional advice and support in program/project planning, design, development, implementation, and evaluation activities; completing NEPA for projects with recreation impact; and serving as the unit partnership coordinator and liaison, developing relationships with the communities, user groups, and other agencies.
