WWW.FORTERRA.ORGInterns will assist in creating a sustainable network of healthy urban parks for the
enjoyment of people of all ages and backgrounds. Healthy urban parks are welcoming
and safe places where families and friends can play, gather and get to know each other.
Everyone’s involvement is needed to create and nurture these community spaces.
Forterra works in partnership with the cities of Everett, Seattle, Tacoma, and Redmond to care for forested city parks.
Through recruitment and development of community leaders from previously underrepresented communities; we seek
to increase our diversity to reflect the multicultural richness of our communities. Interns will work with staff this fall to
reach out to a community of their choice and plan volunteer events to involve residents new to our programs in new
and culturally relevant ways.
