Deer Creek Farm, San Juan Islands, WA

Organic farm in the San Juan Islands seeks a farm manager. We are a seventy-two-acre, small-scale cattle farm with an established forty-tree fruit orchard and we also keep and raise chickens. We are looking to expand into organic vegetable production and possibly hops. We are seeking a full-time farm manager who has at least five years of diversified experience in commercial organic farming and who has basic carpentry and maintenance skills. In addition, the ability to maintain and operate machinery, management experience and familiarity with the Pacific Northwest are a plus. The ideal candidate will be a hard worker, a creative thinker, a good problem-solver, and a meticulous and precise person who has a real appreciation for order and aesthetics. No drug users please (marijuana and tobacco included). Salary includes on-site housing in a beautiful pasture with a view of Puget Sound; food from the farm including organic beef, chicken, eggs, fruit and vegetables; $1.6K to $2K a month with profit-sharing possible; and one month of paid vacation a year.
