NATURAL RESOURCES ECOLOGIST (BOTANIC SPECIALIST II)

Salary: $27.81 – $35.47 Hourly
The Botanic Specialist II manages natural resource projects in a variety of habitats within PP&R City Nature program. Work in the area includes collaborating with planners, scientists, engineers, permit authorities, contractors, community volunteers and non-profit organizations to develop and implement appropriate natural resource management strategies and solutions. The essential duties and responsibilities include planning, organizing, managing and monitoring resource protection, restoration, mitigation, and enhancement projects; acting as a team leader for day to day operations; providing technical assistance on natural vegetation issues, restoration techniques, and wildlife habitat impacts; drafting guidance documents for natural resource management; and reviewing codes and plans for effects on natural environment and the feasibility of actual implementation.
