With the retirement of Karen Daubert,Washington Trails Association is looking for our next Executive Director. Do you know someone who would be fabulous for the job? A hiker, perhaps, with proven leadership skills that is ready to take the helm of a vibrant, respected and growing organization?

If so, please help us spread the word. WTA’s Board of Directors has launched the search for our next leader. They’ve put together a full packet of information for prospective candidates—background about WTA, our programs and expectations about the job itself. It’s a great primer about being the Executive Director of Washington Trails Association.

It is an exciting time to be a part of WTA. In addition to working with a community of dedicated, passionate people (from board and staff to partners and volunteers), the organization has an exciting path mapped out in our strategic plan. As we celebrate WTA’s golden anniversary we are working hard to keep trails accessible for the next generation of hikers.

With the population of Washington growing and more people becoming passionate about the outdoors, this is an important time to help shape the future of recreation. WTA with the help of a new Executive Director will be doing just that.
