Hello Portland Collaborative,

I wanted to make sure you were all aware of a new, paid, research opportunity that my team at Energy Trust just announced (information below). Please feel free to apply for the fellowship, and/or share the following information with your friends and colleagues. I really hope we get a diverse pool of applications for this. Let me know if you have any questions!

Energy Trust is proud to announce the new Net Zero Fellowship, a new grant that aims to better understand net-zero energy and promote the adoption of net-zero construction in Oregon. We plan to award up to two fellowship grants for a combined total of $50,000 to support research over 12 – 18 months.

Building industry professionals with a well-defined research project are encouraged to apply. Topics can range from policy implications and technical strategies to cost/benefit studies and owner/occupant benefits.

Energy Trust will select Net Zero Fellows based on their experience, demonstrated ability to conduct technical research and their topic’s relevance to Oregon. We are currently assembling an advisory committee with experience in sustainable, high-performance and net-zero buildings to help with this process, and its members will be announced this fall. If you’d like to be considered for the grant, visit energytrust.org/zero to submit your application by January 9, 2017.

Best,

Amanda Davidowitz
