The House Method Commitment to Our Homes Scholarship

House Method is committed to improving our homes to make them safer, more efficient, more sustainable, beautiful, and functional. We believe that those committed to doing the work of bettering our homes deserve to be honored in their pursuits.

House Method will award a $1,000 scholarship to a student committed to improving the way we live in our homes.

The deadline for scholarship applications is October 15, 2018.

Who qualifies?

Any student enrolled in a post-secondary associate, four-year, or graduate program at an accredited college or university in the United States.

Applicants must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

How to apply for the Commitment to Our Homes Scholarship

Submit an essay no longer than 1,000 words that answers the question: How do you hope to improve the way people live in their homes? 

Submit a completed scholarship application form.

Applicants must use a school or university email and provide proof of enrollment. All materials should be sent in a single PDF to scholarships@housemethod.com by 11:59 pm on October, 15, 2018.

How a winner is chosen

One scholarship will be awarded each year to a post-secondary student who demonstrates a commitment to bettering our lives at home. Scholarship winners will be chosen based on the following criteria:

  • Writing ability
  • Creativity of proposed contribution to the home
  • Demonstrated commitment to contribution
  • Overall excellence
