Coronal Energy, LLC, an end-to-end specializing in large‐scale solar PV projects, is seeking an Analyst to support solar project portfolio development. The Analyst will be a member of the CE Development team and will be responsible for providing administrative support for projects from early stage development (market analysis, site selection and site control). The Analyst will report directly to the Director of Development and work closely with the Project Developers and Project Development Engineers.
Candidates must demonstrate keen interest and knowledge of renewable energy development, market analysis and research, land use planning and/or development, site analysis, and a proven ability to efficiently and effectively multi‐task in a team-oriented, fast‐paced environment. Ideal candidates should possess an agile mind, an outgoing disposition, and an excellent sense of humor.
The Project Development Analyst is responsible for conducting background research on active campaigns, as needed by the Development Team, primarily related to the local real estate market, local taxes, and local permitting processes. In addition, the Project Development Analyst may be assigned Development responsibilities over projects and campaigns under the direction of the Director, Project Development.

• Research and identification of locale: Zoning ordinances, tax exemptions, utilities
• Land use analysis
• Material preparation: proposals, contracts, marketing pieces

Required Skills:
• Proven ability to communicate well in a team environment
• Proven ability in effective outreach
• Proven ability to research and manage high volumes of data
• Comprehension of land use planning constraints and permitting procedures
• Ability to interpret maps and plans
• Familiarity with Google Earth or Geographic Information Systems (GIS) preferred
• Highly motivated, organized and deadline‐oriented
Education & Additional Certifications:
Bachelor’s Degree; background in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography, Planning, Landscape Architecture, Sales, Real Estate, or Business a plus; Other relevant majors will be considered.
Location:
This position will likely be based on the West Coast and the market focus will be on Western USA, so there is a high potential for working remotely. This position involves traveling to our Charlottesville, VA office in the beginning for training.
