ERM is hiring flexible Environmental Compliance Specialists (Contract) for projected-based assignments at Multiple Locations throughout the U.S. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring environmental compliance with applicable regulations and existing company standards and contributing to an environment where employee health and safety is preserved. You will have the responsibility, authority, and knowledge necessary to develop and implement site-specific Environmental, Health & Safety plans at a variety of complex project sites. You will be present during all site activities and responsible for all health and safety activities and the delegation of duties to any other project team members.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide technical assistance on environmental compliance, sustainability, and due diligence transaction projects.
Prepare plans, permits, and reports for hazardous waste, air quality, and especially storm water, NPDES, and wastewater programs.
Audit and update SPCC, SPR, BMP and other plans, as needed.
Perform environmental compliance audits and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Support the development of EHS compliance and management system programs.
Provide general environmental compliance support to clients, including on-site assistance as needed.
Perform Phase I environmental site assessments to support property transfer transactions.
Support field sampling such as groundwater and surface water sampling and ecological field studies, as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
BS in environmental science, geology, engineering, or related discipline.
2+ years of relevant environmental compliance experience, preferably with some experience in consulting.
Familiarity with USEPA and State environmental regulations and understanding of environmental permit application processes; preference given to those with experience in environmental compliance auditing.
Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports.
Strong MS Office computer skills; advanced understanding of PowerPoint, and Excel desired. AutoCAD a plus.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
