Context
The Global Water Partnership (GWP) is a Network of more than 3,000 Partners, with 13 Regional Offices, whose mission is to support the sustainable development and management of water resources at all levels. It has been promoting Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) since 1996, and is also involved in Climate Change, Transboundary Cooperation, Integrated Urban Water Management (IUWM) and the Nexus approach as well as cross cutting issues such as gender and youth. The intern will be primarily responsible to provide support to the transboundary water portfolio within GWP.
Assignments
- Transboundary water program development
The intern will support development of transboundary water program within GWP network.
- Asia region support.
The intern will support GWP programs in Asia region
- Communication and knowledge products
The intern will support development of communication and knowledge products in GWP’s the area of transboundary waters.
- Writing blog
During the internship period, the intern is encouraged to at least write 1 short article on any water related topic of her interest that will be published on the blog section of the GWP main website.
- Ad-hoc tasks
The intern will assist in any other tasks related to transboundary waters and Asia region support, as well as water and human rights when needs arise within GWP network.
