We invite students to participate in an educational & cultural exchange.

Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms, USA (WWOOF-USA) helps connect students with 2,300+ organic farmers nationwide. WWOOF is flexible and can be used for an internship, educational hands-on training, or a travel opportunity.

The program is open to any students interested in sustainable agriculture, cultural studies, culinary arts, veterinary programs, health and nutrition, environmental sciences, and a wide range of other courses.

Winter and Spring opportunities are posted now! With farms in every state, and many welcoming students over the holiday break, WWOOF opportunities may be closer than you think.

The Way WWOOF Works:

Visitors, or “WWOOFers,” spend about half of each day helping on a host farm while learning about the organic agriculture movement and sustainable lifestyles. They receive free room and board during their visit – with no money exchanged between host farmers and WWOOFers. No previous experience is required as WWOOF is a learning opportunity. The length of stay is flexible from a week to a season.

To get a better sense of WWOOF, we encourage you to explore the online directory of organic farms, ranches and homesteads across the country that are ready to host you. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook for member photos & stories, or watch videos about why students WWOOF and what they’ve learned from the program.
