Education Outreach Coordinator

The REACH Museum seeks an experienced educator to fill a part-time position on our education team. The ideal candidate will:

  • be enthusiastic about learning and teaching
  • have innovative ideas to contribute to a growing organization
  • be willing to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
  • have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods, both indoors and outdoors
  • be comfortable using Office software for communication and in creating educational materials
  • be willing to work with visitors and students of all ages and abilities

Job duties include:

Responds to requests for outreach events: communicate with schools and community organizations, organize volunteers to help with outreach, participate in outreach events, positively representing The REACH to the public, transport and set up materials at event locations

Leads education programs at the museum and at school visits, as part of the Education team, supporting the REACH Museum’s mission: teach content for school programs at the museum and in the community, plan and lead education activities for museum events as needed, create positive interactions with visitors of all ages

20 hours per week, $13.00 per hour
