2019 Green-Duwamish Watershed Workshop
“Stewarding Public Lands & Water with Encampments ”
Monday, Feb. 25| 9 am – 1 pm | Tukwila Community Center
As our region is growing and changing, so is the nature of those experiencing homelessness and its environmental impacts to our public lands and waters. In this workshop we will gain a deeper understanding on the changing nature of who is living in our green spaces, their needs, and mitigating the environmental impact on our lands and waters. We will look at available programs, resources and collaborations to help maintain the environmental health of our natural areas and health of those encamped on them through new approaches which provide innovative and collaborative solutions.
