Position Snapshot

Environmental Compliance Technicians work closely with the Compliance Team. Assist in conducting environmental compliance field inspections, review manifests, and maintain environmental programs ensure compliance with all regulatory requirement. This role also interacts with site managers to assist in environmental inspections and identify and report deficiencies that may affect permits and relays compliance issues to the Operations staff.

 

Day in the Life

After grabbing your favorite morning beverage, you can expect to:

Meet with the Compliance team regarding projects and daily tasks.

Maintain compliance with all company and regulatory requirements

Perform other duties as assigned.

Conduct field inspections your findings with the Environmental Compliance Manager.

Data entry and documentation of daily activities

Review and file regulatory required inspection

Review and mail out waste manifests free from errors

Submit manifests to EPA electronically, free from errors

Provide waste disposal certifications to customers

Conduct on-site training for various environmental programs to the Operations staff

Maintain Radiation Program and documents to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Maintain PCB program and documents to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Coordinate with customers, contractors, and regulatory agencies regarding environmental concerns

Assist in the review and preparation of permit modification’s and renewals

Assist in the preparation of reports to regulatory authorities

 

What you need to apply

High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Certifications: 40 Hour HAZWOPER, 8 Hour HAZWOPER, DOT, RCRA

Relevant experience in the environmental industry preferred

Moderate computer skills (Microsoft Suite)

Valid driver’s license

Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening

Comfort wearing a respirator if needed.
