HP Environmental, Inc. (HPE), located in Herndon, Virginia, is seeking an experienced geologist/environmental scientist to join their Site Assessment, Monitoring & Compliance Division in a Project Management capacity. HPE performs comprehensive environmental assessments and consultation in the areas of environmental chemistry, toxicology, geology, industrial hygiene, indoor air quality (IAQ) and building performance. HPE staff conducts building assessments with unparalleled professional credentials including doctoral level scientists, professional geologists, professional engineers and board-certified industrial hygienists. HPE provides services to property managers, owners, developers, real estate investment trusts, insurance companies, financial institutions and contractors for commercial, federal, medical, manufacturing, and military facilities.
The Site Assessment, Monitoring & Compliance Division provides environmental due diligence services starting with Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and proceeding through soil and groundwater remediation work on a site-by-site basis. The ideal candidate would be a self-starter with 3-5 years of experience performing related services, have the ability to work as an individual or part of a group, be knowledgeable about local and federal environmental regulations, have experience managing projects and interacting with clients and regulators, be capable of performing environmental sample collection and field work, and be proficient in Office Suite. AutoCAD capability a plus. Field work will be required of this position and may be as much as 50% of the work load. Competitive pay is based on relevant experience.
