Are you passionate about the environment and social justice? Do you enjoy experiencing wild places? Then join Reconnect Earth this summer for an experience you’ll never forget: eight days backpacking and camping in Washington’s North Cascades mountains learning about ecology, human and natural history, and grassroots social change. Apply here.
The North Cascades are home to several federal Wilderness Areas and some of the most diverse ecosystems in North America. These wild places are also sites of ongoing conflicts over colonialism, Indigenous sovereignty, and resource extraction. On a Reconnect Earth trip you’ll hike through ancient forests, climb to alpine lakes, or look down onto glaciers while exploring what it means to work for social justice and environmental sustainability on contested land in the Northwest.
