GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES

 Fisheries Technician position is assisting the Project Leader and project biologists in implementing, maintaining, and monitoring fish habitat restoration and enhancement projects in the Grande Ronde Basin consistent with CTUIR treaty reserved rights and interests.

Duties include assisting project staff in implementing fish habitat projects, maintaining project developments (fences, plants, plant protection devices), constructing fences, maintaining equipment and vehicles, assisting with various types of field surveys, assisting with fish/wildlife salvage operations, and participating in monitoring and evaluation efforts (groundwater, water temperature, physical habitat, juvenile fish populations, etc.).

Successful applicant will be dependable, have good organizational, communication, and computer skills, ability to utilize various software programs, writing skills, and a strong commitment to protecting and enhancing fish and wildlife resources:
