Operations Manager
Earth Ministry/WAIPL is seeking an Operations Manager to be responsible for administrative and organizational support.
Organization: Earth Ministry transforms faith into action for the well-being of communities and the environment. We organize people of faith to advocate for strong environmental policies and provide strategic guidance to religious communities working toward environmental justice. Our office is located in Seattle, WA.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process donations in database and generate donor acknowledgments in a timely manner
- Prepare bank deposits, print deposit and credit card transaction reports, and deliver to Bookkeeper (no QuickBooks experience necessary for this position)
- Manage recurring gift payments and follow up with donors
- Enter constituent data for program, administrative, and development activities
- Prepare and send mass emails, including monthly events digest
- Assist with annual fundraising appeal process
- Coordinate implementation of annual spring fundraiser and other minor events throughout the year: recruit and orient volunteers, communicate with vendors, coordinate venue logistics, manage registration
- Submit annual paperwork for state charitable organization registration and workplace giving programs
- Manage maintenance of organization’s WordPress website and social media accounts
- Answer phones, route/respond to general emails, and oversee admin responsibilities of interns/volunteers
- Maintain a record of administrative procedures, order office supplies, and manage office machines including coordinating with IT service providers and other vendors
- Work collaboratively within a small staff and take on other duties as necessary
Requirements:
- 1 year+ of paid employment
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Readiness to work collaboratively and effectively in a team setting
Training will be provided on the specific systems and processes of this position – we are primarily looking for someone with high attention to detail, the ability to prioritize, and love of creative problem solving. Experience using a CRM database, proficiency in Excel and Word, and basic HTML skills are a plus. A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required.
Salary and Benefits: This is a full-time position paying $36,000-$40,000 DOE with full coverage health insurance. We provide generous time off: 10 paid holidays, 20 days vacation, and sick leave. Typical schedule is 9 am-5 pm Monday through Friday, but some evening and weekend hours will be necessary during peak times. A flexible, family-friendly schedule can be negotiated during regular work weeks.
