Port Susan Bay Monitoring Crew (June – July, 2019)

Office Location: Seattle, WA Field Site: Port Susan Bay Preserve

 

We are seeking 4 Port Susan Bay Monitoring Interns and 1 Crew Leader to conduct estuary vegetation monitoring at our Port Susan Bay Preserve near Stanwood, Washington. Ability to work long, physically-demanding days in the outdoors with a good attitude is a must. Experience with field data collection helpful, and canoe experience a plus. The crew will work closely with the Port Susan Bay adaptive management team to collect, process and organize vegetation and salinity data.

 

Crew Interns: Dates: June 24 – July 26, 2019. Rate: $17/hr.

This is a 5 week, full time (40 hours per week) temporary position, starting June 24, 2019 and ending July 26, 2019. Ability to commit to start and end dates and the full work period is required. A maximum of four candidates will be hired.

 

Crew leader: Dates: June 10 – August 2, 2019. Rate: $21/hr.

The crew leader will be responsible for on-site crew management and coordination with TNC staff and external partners. This is an 8 week, full time (40 hours per week) temporary position, starting June 10, 2019 and ending August 2, 2019. Commitment to the full appointment is required, but some schedule flexibility can be arranged for the two week orientation and prep period.
