The Pacific Northwest Trail Association is now accepting applications for seasonal Trail Crew Leaders and Assistant Crew Leaders.
The PNTA is looking for dedicated environmental stewards with a passion for education and working with young people. Crew Leaders must have a strong desire to actively engage in a field-based, trails program that will train, challenge and support participants’ in their work and professional development.
This is an opportunity to protect and enhance America’s newest and wildest National Scenic Trail, work in spectacular Northern Washington and do challenging and meaningful work by providing valuable life experiences for the next generation of outdoor leaders.
Type: Full-time, seasonal position
Dates: May-September, 2019
Crew Leaders are responsible for managing teams of 3-6 youth and young adults on trail maintenance projects in the backcountry which last up to ten days. Some projects may involve working with volunteers or working in the frontcountry. The season typically runs from May-September but may be shorter or longer depending on weather and funding.
Assistant Crew Leaders are responsible for supervising teams of 3-6 youth and young adults on trail maintenance projects in the backcountry which last up to ten days.
