Dear colleagues,

Uganda Peace Foundation is organising an International Conference on Peace and Security scheduled on 17 – 20 July,2019 at Speke Resort Hotel and Country Lodge Munyonyo,Kampala,Uganda.

This conference is in harmony with the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs), creates awareness,and realisation of these noble goals.

As you will find out from the conference website the sub – theme for discourse on 17th July,2019 is titled “The Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs):A Great Weapon to Prevent Conflicts/Insecurity”. This promotes the realisation of all the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs) and in particular, Goal 16:Peace,Justice,and Strong Institutions.

The sub – theme on 18th July, 2019 is titled “Poverty Eradication and Employment Creation a Prerequisite for Sustainable Peace/Security”. This boasts the realisation of,Goal 1 : No poverty, and Goal 2 : Zero Hunger.

The sub – theme on 19th July,2019 is about the “Village Earth Model”. This is a practical programme that enhances the attainment of most of the goals of the SDGs.
