The Opportunity:

WSDOT is seeking an innovative engineer to join our team as the Lead Environmental and Construction Inspector for the WSDOT SR 520 Corridor Design-Build Office. With minimal supervision, this role acts as the lead on-site construction quality verification and oversight inspector with a focus for environmental compliance. This position will develop and implement compliance audits, participate in pre-activity meetings and inspections, work 1:1 with the Design-Builder Environmental Inspection staff, and train and supervise subordinate compliance staff.

They will ensure work complies with the Contract and act as WSDOT’s representative in relations with the Design-Builders Compliance Staff, Quality Control, and Assurance Staff as well as with the City of Seattle and the public.
