Aerotech Environmental Consulting is seeking an Environmental Site Assessor to join our growing team in our Tukwila office. About the role:
The Environmental Site Assessor conducts on-site environmental assessments to ascertain whether the subject site and surrounding areas contain any recognized environmental conditions in accordance with Aerotech’s and the ASTM standards. The site investigations include but are not limited to: database evaluation, historical research, onsite reconnaissance, technical document review and management of public records requests from the appropriate agencies.
The Environmental Site Assessor works independently to create reports but also collaborates with and supports other team members, understanding how their work product impacts the entire transaction process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducts project research (historical, analytical, etc) as defined by All Appropriate Inquiry and Aerotech standards.
- Successfully manages communication with client and Subject Property representatives.
- Prepares quality Phase I Assessments and supporting documents (site figures, appendices, etc.), making sound recommendations and articulating reasoning.
- Plans, schedules and tracks project timelines and milestones to ensure project progress is on schedule.
- Effectively communicates project progress and issues with the Team Leader.
- Performs analytical data entry as needed.
- Looks for ways to improve process and work more efficiently.
- Supports team objectives through contribution and collaboration.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Team Leader.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree and/or one to three year of experience completing quality ESAs.
Must be self-directed and accountable with the ability to manage multiple projects meet project deadlines.
Must be able to read, interpret, and author technical environmental reports with appropriate grammar and vocabulary.
Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
Ability to cultivate strong relationships with our customers and the team.
Must have a valid driver’s license (or the ability to obtain one) with the ability to be insured on the company policy.
Ability to drive 4-6 hours periodically within the state of Washington and occasionally to Oregon.
