Responsibilities

As a Research Fish Biologist, you will perform the following duties:

• Conduct fisheries and ecological research of fish populations relating to life history.
• Develop new and innovative approaches for the determination of fish age from otoliths and other hard structures, including the application of techniques in spectroscopy.
• Assist in implementing new or modifying existing methods of fisheries data collection, and update schematics, blueprints, or participate in conferences to share findings.
• Serve as a Lead researcher of the development and application of techniques to study the fish life history of north Pacific fish age, reproduction, maturity, and the effects of climate change.
