Golder has a new opportunity for a GIS Analyst to join our team in a full-time position at our Redmond, Washington office. The selected candidate will demonstrate a passion for all things geospatial and will support a wide variety of projects and proposal efforts in various fields, including mining, oil and gas, power, transportation, and solid waste. Typical project tasks include data acquisition/management, cartography, and geospatial analysis.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Duties spanning the full project life cycle include: spatial data searching, digitizing, database generation, data management

  • GPS setup, deployment and training;
  • Production of cartographic quality field and report maps
  • Web-map development and maintenance;

Required:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience as GIS Analyst/Technician.
  • Experience with ESRI ArcGIS 10.x software and all of its components.
  • Experience with ArcGIS Online.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience working in a dynamic and fast-paced consulting environment on a variety of projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Comfortable with managing a daily workflow that includes completing multiple GIS tasks for multiple projects in a timely manner.

Preferred:

  • GIS experience within an environmental/engineering consulting environment.
  • Experience with ArcGIS Pro software.
  • Python programming skills and/or experience with Model Builder within ArcGIS.
  • Experience with Trimble GeoExplorer mapping grade GPS units and/or ESRI’s ArcPad software.
  • Experience with AutoDesk CAD/Civil 3D software.
