How would you like a paid 50-week internship at an amazing national park site?

The Community Volunteer Ambassador program, jointly administered by Northwest Youth Corps and Stewards, is a national service AmeriCorps program that is hosted at over 50 National Park Service sites throughout the country. With training and support from all three partners, CVAs are instrumental to building each park’s capacity to leverage volunteers’ whose contributions are integral to preserving the history, culture, and beauty of our public lands.

We are looking for:

  • 21-30 years old
  • Degree holder
  • US citizen or  legal, permanent US resident
  • Experience in customer service, event planning, leadership, outdoor education

CVAs serve as Ambassadors at National Park sites. As ambassadors, CVAs receive top-notch training so that they can assist National park staff with duties in the area of education, interpretation, and volunteer coordination.

CVAs recruit volunteers, coordinate volunteer/ service learning projects, plan events, and design promotional campaigns to engage the local community.

This is an AmeriCorps position that runs from February 10th, 2020 – January 31st, 2021. We are only searching for serious applicants who are willing to relocate and commit to the year of service.
