Job Description
The Atmospheric Sciences and Global Change Division at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) seeks a senior research scientist with experience in the development and application of hydrology models. In particular, expertise coupling physics-based hydrology, land surface, or atmospheric models and/or improving the representations of human activities in Earth system models is of interest. The successful candidate will join a growing team of PNNL scientists and contribute to new and existing projects targeted at improving our understanding of the coupled human-earth system. In addition, there may be an opportunity to serve in a team lead/line management role.

Minimum Qualifications
- BS with 7+ years’ experience, MS with 5+ years’ experience or PhD with 3+ years’ experience;
- Experience with WRF-Hydro, SWAT, VIC, CLM, DHSVM or other modeling systems and high-performance computing environments;
- Experience in analysis of sub-surface, surface, and/or atmospheric data in the context of model improvement and validation;
- Strong publication record and demonstrated ability to lead publications to completion in refereed journals.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD with 10 years’ experience;
- Successful history of leading research teams and leading development of funded proposals.
