About WSDOT
Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is the steward of an integrated, multimodal transportation system that helps to ensure people and goods move safely and efficiently throughout the state. In addition to building, maintaining, and operating the state highway system, WSDOT operates the largest ferry system in the nation, manages the world’s longest floating bridge, and recently completed the world’s widest tunneling project.
Washington State Ferries (WSF), a division of WSDOT, is the largest ferry system in the U.S. and safely and efficiently carries nearly 25 million people a year through some of the most majestic scenery in the world. The WSF system is an essential part of Washington’s transportation network, linking communities on both sides of Puget Sound with the San Juan Islands and internationally to Sidney, British Columbia. WSF has more than 1,800 employees throughout the Puget Sound region on vessels, in terminals, at the Eagle Harbor Maintenance Facility and at the headquarters facility in Seattle.

- Serve as a liaison between WSF vendors/concessionaires and customers, working with WSF’s Customer Service team to resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely and appropriate fashion.
- Organize film and photo shoots, promotions, tours, community activities, and special events on WSF vessels and at terminals, including occasional onsite supervision of this activity.
- Establish an inventory and maintenance program for Washington State Ferries’ extensive collection of artwork and tribal artifacts, ensuring that artwork is properly maintained and preserved.
- Prepare reports, briefings, memoranda, policy guidelines, and other communications as needed to further business goals.
