The United Nations System Chief Executives Board for Coordination, at its 2011 Spring Session, committed to mainstreaming disaster risk reduction in the programmes and operations of the UN system through the development of a common agenda, and to raise disaster risk reduction to the highest political support. UNISDR (United Nation Office for Disaster Risk Reduction) Strategic Framework (2016-2021) was guided by supporting countries and societies in its implementation, monitoring and review of progress; the prevention of new and reduction of existing disaster risk and strengthening resilience through successful multi-hazard disaster risk management.

For assisting the  UN objectives in Disaster Risk Reduction: 2021 Handbook of Disaster Risk Reduction for Resilience (HD3R-2021) has being contracted by Springer. The remaining handbook tentative table of content is given below. You are invited to be an leader author candidate in one or more chapter titles. You could have your own co-authors and also suggest your interested title/titles.  Chapter Word Count is limited to 6000-10000 and the writing duration is negotiable and would be about 2 months after candidate selection and sending the official appointment letter.
