Greetings:
I’m contacting you to request your help with a project designed to support the rapid expansion of renewable energy called for by the Clean Energy Transformation Act (CETA) of 2019. Specifically, I’m hoping you can recommend a student or recent graduate who would be interested in working on a project to assess the impacts of renewable energy development in Washington state.
The Energy Facility Site Evaluation Council (EFSEC) is partnering with the WA Department of Commerce on a project (funded by the Department of Defense) called the Washington State Compatible Energy Siting Assessment (CESA). The project will build mapping and other tools to foster early and ongoing civilian-military coordination around renewable energy development. The goal is to avoid conflict and delays by finding win-win solutions that promote renewable energy siting, while preserving military mission viability.
The details of the intern position are described below. We hope to hire someone within the next 60 days and will be offering a flexible work schedule to the person we choose. Thank you for your consideration of this interesting opportunity. Please contact me (preferably by e-mail) if you have questions regarding this matter.
Sincerely,
Stephen Posner
