Want to gain environmental skills, improve habitat for fish and wildlife, and build your résumé? Washington Conservation Corps is now recruiting 3-month AmeriCorps members on our field crews located statewide! Successful applicants will get the chance to gain knowledge of the environment while honing your skills through hands-on experience and learning opportunities.

Please Note: WCC has temporarily suspended field operations due to Washington’s Stay Home, Stay Healthy Order. While we assess a transition back to field activities, with safety guidelines in place, we are offering a variety of educational teleservice activities for new members to complete while serving from home. Crews communicate regularly with each other, stay connected, and engage in peer-based learning presentations and projects. Crew Supervisors will still be available, just as during normal field operations, to provide consistent mentorship and support for incoming members.

Our priority remains the safety of our AmeriCorps members and Crew Supervisors. We will keep successful applicants up to date about the status of their crew’s transition back to the field, and share our full field safety measures with them well before program start date. Through these safety measures and a phased-in approach, members will still get the opportunity to serve outdoors building backcountry and urban trails, planting native trees and shrubs along rivers and streams, removing invasive species, and more!

Qualifications: Must be 18-25 years old, with exceptions for those with military service or with mental or sensory disabilities. Strong preference is given to Washington state residents.

Start Date: 6/8/2020

End Date: 9/10/2020
