Responsibilities
- Schedule and execute a variety of rangeland management support assignments related to range conservation programs.
- Monitor plans for compliance with range management goals and objectives.
- Analyze and evaluate condition and trend data using available guidelines and standards.
- Map allotments, delineating vegetative types and capability for grazing use.
- Determine range readiness dates by using accepted indicator plants.
- Conduct routine forage production studies based on air-dry weight of vegetation.
- Collect measurements and records on forage density, production types, vigor, growth, soil depth, compaction and erosion.
