GIS/Environmental Compliance Specialist
$23.92 to $32.05/hour plus benefits

The GIS/Environmental Compliance Specialist manages, coordinates, constructs, and maintains the District’s GIS files, and related map and data products.  Researches, analyzes, and reports on water resources policy, water quality compliance for the District’s NPDES permit, land use planning and environmental issues such as SEPA, NEPA, the Endangered Species Act and the Clean Water Act.  Assists the Planning Manager with the same.

A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Planning, GIS, Geography, Civil Engineering, Computer Science or closely related field, plus 1 year of experience programming in a GIS software environment, and 1 year of experience in environmental planning, control, or compliance is preferred.  Any combination of education and experience providing the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge and abilities to perform the job will be considered.
