It’s on the inner part of Henderson Bay, open to the south winds of winter storms.  But area is also home to oyster farming; in summer the spit  is frequented by beachgoers seeking the protected waters (i.e. warmer).  Or if it’s windy windsurfers and kiteboarders flock there.  Come join the South Sound Chapter as we pick the marine debris off the beach.  Minors require parental supervision.
