Located in Newport, lead shellfish staff in developing statewide policies and regulations related to shellfish resources and estuary habitat, representative for interstate shellfish program coordination, conduct/coordinate shellfish harvest management etc. Lead new statewide sport shellfish management program.

Qualifications:
Requires five years’ biological experience in a fish/wildlife program with three years at technical/professional level performing activities in a fish/wildlife program such as researching and analyzing data, conducting investigations, applying pertinent laws/regulations, or coordinating and monitoring project activities; and a Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries/Wildlife Science, Oceanographic Sciences, or closely-related degree or three additional years’ experience; and one year lead of work/supervisory duties. A Master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience/PhD may substitute for two years’ experience.

Salary: $4,670-$6,565/mo. Generous benefits package.
