Approximate Monthly Salary: $5,484 – $7,337

The Parks and Recreation City Nature East (CNE) Zone Manager is responsible for managing natural areas and trails within the east City Nature zone ensuring the protection, safety, health and maintenance of the City’s urban forest and managing associated horticultural programs.

The CNE Zone Manager oversees the administration and enforcement of applicable City codes and ordinances and resolves conflicts when trees interface with other systems and human needs. The incumbent is responsible for the development, maintenance and oversight of Portland Parks & Recreation’s natural areas and trail system, working with community members, groups, and volunteers to achieve goals.

Duties include supervising subordinate supervisors and staff, providing program direction, acting as a community liaison, providing reports and data in support of program areas, and coordinating services with the other Portland Parks & Recreation managers, and with other agencies.
