Associate Project Manager

Associates will join a talented and committed team dedicated to expanding the use and availability of clean energy while pursuing ambitious financial goals and building company value. The role will feature close work with project managers and company executives with emphasis in areas that may depend in large part on qualifications, interest and priority. This is an opportunity for a diligent and motivated individual to manage a variety of initiatives related to renewable energy project development, markets, finance and technology.
Role Description
Conduct research and analysis to facilitate site selection for prospective solar projects using a variety of tools and systems including Google Earth.
Engage with landowners, community stakeholders, governmental/regulatory agencies and external consultants to initiate and advance large-scale clean power projects.
Assist Project Managers with the coordination of project activities and general management.
Prepare project reports and related documents including contracts, schedules, and budgets.
Evaluate state policy, incentives and regulations impacting renewable energy projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience required. Graduate degree is preferred.
1-3+ years professional experience is strongly preferred.
PMP or similar project management certifications a plus but not required.
Experience with Google Earth or other mapping/GIS tools required, as well as use of online and public resources such as federal/state/county databases (e.g., to review land records and environmental factors that may affect project development).
Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
Strong attention to detail with a high level of integrity and organizational capacity to manage multiple projects.
Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to internal and external stakeholders.
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Project (or similar) preferred.
Knowledge or background in the renewable energy industry preferred.
