Rain Garden Workshop
| Event Description: Do your part to help protect streams and Puget Sound while also keeping stormwater drainage away from your home. Stream Team and WSU Extension’s Native Plant Salvage will co-sponsor a free workshop will provide all the details needed to build one or more rain gardens in your yard to create a low-maintenance, attractive feature that will also provide habitat for birds and butterflies.
This how-to workshop is offered from 6:00 to 8:15 p.m. There will also be an optional hands-on component from 8:15pm-9:00pm. Each participant will receive detailed information about designing and building a rain garden, as well as a full-color rain garden poster and a copy of WSU’s “Rain Garden Handbook for Western Washington Homeowners.” |
