The Seattle District Army Corps of Engineers Regulatory Branch is responsible for making permit decisions for work in Waters of the United States, including wetlands. Project Managers work under the authorities of the Clean Water Act and Rivers & Harbors Act. Project Managers (PMs) maintain a robust workload of permit processing, compliance, and enforcement actions. The district covers the geographic area of the state of Washington. Seattle District offers PMs plenty of hands-on experience implementing the Endangered Species Act and National Historic Preservation Act responsibilities, as well as coordinating with a variety of Indian tribes as part of our tribal trust responsibility. The district office is based in a new LEED certified building located a short distance from downtown Seattle.
