Oregon Climate is a volunteer-driven organization that empowers Oregonians to win real climate policy, building the model for a timely global transition to a clean energy economy. We believe that Oregon can lead the country with the most cost-effective climate policy available: a price on carbon pollution. Returning all the money raised from pricing carbon back to Oregonians will power a just, swift, and lasting transition.
On November 14, Oregon Climate is calling on lawmakers to pass strong climate policy, using the power of art to unite people across the state. The goal is to recreate the salmon mosaic that brought 1,500 people together in Medford two years ago, with each scale representing an individual’s story about why they love Oregon. Mayor Hales will be speaking, along with the Center for Intercultural Organizing, Two Green Leaves, and Oregon Climate. We hope you will join us, either by making a cardboard “tile” at PDX Green Drinks, or coming to the event!
