The Environmental Health Specialist 3 position advises public and/or private officials on radiation health and safety issues; interprets and explains statutes, rules, policy and procedures to registrants; conducts on-site reviews of registrant facilities to determine compliance with and adherence to standards; identifies needed corrective action and follows up to verify compliance; reviews registrant’s radiation safety program requirements and explains and/or recommends areas needing improvement and instructs individuals or groups of registrants methods and procedures for compliance with program regulations.
