Capitol Land Trust is getting ready for our 16th annual Summer Gala & Auction – and we are currently seeking volunteers to help make this event a success!
This event takes place at Ralph and Nancy Munro’s Triple Creek Farm in Olympia on Saturday August 13th from 5 to 9 PM. It is a wonderful outdoor celebration of what the conservation of Forests, Farms and Fish does for our community, and what educational opportunities and fun in nature can do for children and adults. Event proceeds will benefit conservation and outreach programs. A special Fund-A-Need will support the proposed Inspiring Kids Preserve.
We have many opportunities to volunteer during the event, as well as setup and cleanup opportunities starting Friday and going through Sunday. Here is a general list of jobs available:
Setup for the event
Serving dinner – from the buffet line
Bartending
Selling drink tickets
Registration
Parking attendant
Silent Auction –helping and encouraging bidding
Live Auction – recording winning bids
Clean up
Tear down
If you would like to attend the Summer Gala & Auction: enjoying tray passed appetizers while perusing the silent auction items, drinking alcoholic beverages, sitting under the tent during the program and live auction while eating your locally sourced dinner – we welcome you to purchase a ticket to the event on our website and enjoy the event! We do have volunteer opportunities available on Friday, Saturday during the day and Sunday if you are interested in helping setup or clean-up for the event.
Please email Alison Beglin at alison@capitollandtrust.org if you are interested in volunteering and she will get you more information.
Volunteers help to make this event a success, which furthers Capitol Land Trust’s mission for land conservation and outreach programs in southwest Washington.
