Compensation and hours:
PT: 40 hours a week
Hours: Primarily weekdays with some weekends and evenings
Wage: $15-$17/hour DOE

Position Summary
The program coordinator will manage below programs:
Restoration/stewardship: Community restoration projects with volunteers (can be from 10-400). Stewardship includes: Tree plantings, invasive pulls and beach clean-ups. Door to Door outreach promoting our private property program and restoration benefits
VWA Outreach: Develop and distribute a monthly email newsletter highlighting events and successes of VWA
Education projects: Attend environmental/watershed education events throughout the year
Technology: Website and social media updates
Grant program: Assist in managing neighborhood grant program
Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate large and small scale restoration projects
Recruit, manage and lead hundreds of volunteers at several environmental restoration events throughout the year (tree plantings, invasive removal, wetland restoration and park clean-ups)
Facilitate and coordinate with the City of Vancouver and other partners
Build a network and partners with local businesses and organizations for restoration and volunteering
Outreach to increase the number of stewardship events/activities

Qualifications:
Equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree (environmental science preferred); in lieu of a degree we will consider equivalent years of related experience
Two years of increasingly responsible major program coordination experience
Pacific NW native and invasive plant knowledge
Watershed restoration knowledge
On the ground restoration experience (either as a volunteer or work)
Public speaking
Extremely organized – need to be able to organize and track data from multiple projects
Experience working with people from culturally and economically diverse backgrounds
Experience with all aspects of volunteer coordination
Comfortable being outdoors in any kind of weather and on uneven terrain
Experience with Little Green Light –a bonus not requirement
Technical: Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
