The WSU Extension Energy Program in Olympia, is looking for 2-3 students to identify, summarize and post energy information resources to a publicly funded website that encourages energy efficiency action by consumers and businesses in western states.
a) Students work as a team to edit or write Q&As on efficiency and renewable energy topics. This would involve literature research online and with the WSU Energy Library onsite. The Q&As are written to respond to questions we commonly receive from utility staff in western states.
b) Review the resources that are currently available on http://www.energyexperts.org/EnergySolutionsDatabase.aspx and update the database if information has changed.
c) Find energy related jobs online and post them on the Jobs Database: http://www.energyexperts.org/TrainingEducationandEmployment/Employment.aspx
Further Details:
- Online research, data entry, and writing are the main tasks.
- You may be able to explore and develop technical knowledge about a topic area that interests you.
- Good technical writing skills are necessary.
- Must have basic word processing, keyboarding and internet skills.
- Basic html skills a plus. Must be able to work cooperatively with others on the team.
- Must also be able to work independently on assigned tasks.
Work will be conducted at our office on Plum Street, downtown Olympia, between the hours of 9am-5pm.
