The Programmer Analyst evaluates information requirements then designs and develops complex application systems. These systems offer viable solutions to problems which encompass business operations, fish and wildlife management, enforcement, habitat conservation and development, and public service. The Programmer Analyst also evaluates existing systems, makes modifications as needed, or recommends alternative solutions to information requirements. This may require redesigning part or all of an existing system or devising new methods and procedures for processing data.
Qualifications:
Requires four years of professional consultative, technical, or administrative experience which includes designing, constructing, or analyzing information systems. Experience must include activities in Software and Data; AND
Either 30-quarter (20 semester) credits in computer science; or two more years of experience providing knowledge of information systems theory and principals.
Note:
15 quarter (10 semester) graduate-level computer science, software engineering, information systems, or equivalent credits may substitute for one year of the professional experience.
Salary: $4,222 – $6,103/mo. Generous benefits package.
